The Middlewick

Set on a 16-acre farmstead within sight of Glastonbury Tor, Middlewick is a peaceful countryside resort complete with a café, spa and pool. Surrounded by fields and orchards (with horses and sheep), this is Somerset at its best. Positioned at the gateway of Avalon within sight of two of the oldest oak trees in the country – Gog and Magog – Middlewick is the ideal base from which to explore local attractions such as Glastonbury Abbey, Chalice Well Gardens and the Avalon Marshes Nature Reserve. Guests can take a 20-minute walk through country lanes to Glastonbury town centre and walk to the summit of Glastonbury Tor in 30 minutes. We craft our café menus to highlight seasonal, local produce, and serve breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake 7 days a week, catering for all special diets. Pop-up suppers throughout the year turn our café into an occasional restaurant. We also stock independent local brands and essentials for our cottage guests in our farm shop. We offer holistic spa treatments in shepherd’s hut therapy rooms, and our heated indoor pool is exclusive to guests and spa visitors. Each year we welcome families, couples, day visitors and groups from all over the world.
