About The Muddled Man Inn

Nestled in the picturesque village of West Chinnock, Somerset, The Muddled Man Inn is a traditional, family-run pub exuding rustic charm. Established in a building dating back to around 1650, originally constructed as weavers’ cottages and later licensed as a cider house in the early 1890s, the inn offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The pub takes pride in its selection of real ales, featuring three hand pumps that rotate through 12 West Country breweries, including Hop Back of Salisbury and Devon’s Bays & Teignworthy. Additionally, the well-stocked bar boasts over 50 single malt Scotch whiskies, more than 20 gins, and a variety of rums.

Culinary offerings focus on traditional pub fare, with dishes prepared using locally sourced ingredients. The menu includes home-cooked hams, steaks, deep-filled pies, and homemade curries. A highlight is the Sunday roast, featuring freshly cooked meats accompanied by seasonal vegetables from nearby farms.

The Muddled Man Inn features a sunlit beer garden adorned with vibrant flowers, providing an ideal setting for outdoor relaxation. Inside, patrons can enjoy the cozy ambiance of a large Hamstone hearth. The pub is wheelchair-accessible and welcomes well-behaved dogs and families.
